A Security Alert has virtually eliminated tours of the Storm Prediction Center.
We were pleased when we were invited to take a tour of SPC.

The conference also had a banquet (here is one of the tables of UNL Meteorology students).

The UNL AMS Chapter Students also visited the Meteorology Department at Oklahoma University.
They are located in the 15 story tower in the distance.

With the assistance of recent UNL Meteorology graduate and current
OU Meteorology graduate student Christy Carlson (2nd from the left), our students were allowed
onto the roof of the 15 story tower to observe the weather.

And of course there was the opportunity to purchase that special souvenir to take home.

The weather cooperated giving us totally dry roads on the way home and only 50 miles
of freezing rain in Oklahoma on the way down to the meeting.

Here is the program for the conference/workshop,
which gives an overview of the activities at a national meeting such as this one.
