located in Thomas County and
the northern portion of the Sand Hills

This is the main road through

the top of the Forest fire look-out tower.
Note the abrupt edge to the forest
in the distance and the ragged edge in
the right foreground. A
forest fire in 1965 destroyed the trees in the right
foreground area of the photo
and trees have started to fill in the area again.
