Examine the image carefully and you should be able to see the river valleys in Iowa, dark lake surfaces in Kansas,
the dark surface of the Missouri river in central North Dakota, the gray area of Chicago (urban areas are not as white),
Lincoln is also noted by a slightly less bright area.  The snow cover extends down through northeast Oklahoma.
Northeast Minnesota is very forested so it appears darker with the open lake areas as white.  Clouds can be seen forming in the
northern part of Lake Superior and then blowing across the lake to the south.  Although it might be difficult
at first to see this, there are some clouds in eastern North Dakota.
