it up the hill and was backed up for several miles to Holmes Lake Park.

With the truck removed, traffic was ready to flow, but the icy road reduced
traction to near zero.  A Lincoln Police Officer then helped push several vehicles
that were having difficulty getting through the intersection.


With temperatures close to freezing the car tires were melting the snow and
then it was refroze and became wet ice, making traction very difficult.


However, the traffic remained backed up for another hour at this intersection.

I-80 as an encouragement to keep traffic orderly and moving slowly.
